WORKSHOP ON BNBC: ইমারতনির্মাণবিধিমালা BY AR. DEWAN SHAMSUL ARIF
A specialized workshop on the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC): ইমারতনির্মাণবিধিমালা was held on 24 December 2025 for Level 4 and Level 5 students of the Department of Architecture, MIST, under the guidance of Architect Dewan Shamsul Arif. The session was primarily arranged for Level 4 &Level5 students but was also open to students of other levels and interested faculty members.
The workshop focused on the key principles and practical applications of the BNBC, highlighting its importance in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient architectural practice. It provided Level 5 students practical knowledge for working with regulatory authorities and construction sites, while Level 4 students received an early professional orientation to integrate regulatory considerations into their design thinking. Overall, the workshop enhanced students’ regulatory awareness, professional ethics, and practical competence, preparing them to become responsible and code-compliant architects.
